Adeeo shifted behind her gate, eagerly awaiting her release. She had no idea who she was fighting. Nor did she care. She knew she was smaller than any dragon they would ever find to put against her. But she was a good fighter. She wasn't afraid to do things others might not if it meant winning. Not demean herself, of course. But perhaps instead of avoiding certain attacks, she might go into one in order to get closer to a vital spot. Things like that. Peering between the bars of the gate, she could see the sun-baked dirt of the arena. But her one fault, is that she had no depth-perception. Something was wrong with her left eye, which made her nearly blind on that side. So she couldn't judge distances very well. But she had heart. That was all a dragon needed.

As her gate began to rise, Adeeo stepped back, allowing it to fully rise before she stepped out. Strutting out into the arena as if she had won the battle already, she flared her wings and let out a roar. The crowd cheered. A smile lit up her maw as she readied herself, watching her opponent's gate rise.

The Hell[raaze]er

you are
enemy
Raaze stood behind his own gate calmly, observing everything with his naturally disdainful expression. He had been told nothing about who he was fighting. But he was just fine with that. He rather liked surprises. Well, some of them anyway. Hearing the metal grinding sound of his opponent's rising gate, the dragon took a step back in his cage. This was not because he was scared. Rather, it was because he was going to have an explosive entrance. But not before he sized up his enemy. Red orbs pin-pointed the White Dragon as she strolled forth, looking mighty proud of herself. He took this as an insult, and it worked its way under his scales immediately.

This poor scrap of scales was only a Large White Dragon, very small compared to most others of her age, and some even younger. This put her at about twelve feet tall. Raaze chuckled darkly. She was almost half his size. He was a Colossal Red Dragon, standing at an indimidating twenty-two feet tall. He ate things her size for breakfast. Growling, irritated even more by her measely attempt at a roar, Raaze pressed right up against his gate. Opening his maw he inhaled deeply. When he exhaled, he let out a deafening roar. It was as loud as an F-22 Raptor as it passed you going hundreds of miles per hour. The incredibly terrifying volume of the roar shocked the crowd into a horrified silence. Good.

As his gate began to lift, Raaze grew impatient with it's lack of suitable speed. Lowering his head, he took a step back, then burst through it. Much like an angry bull who pressed through plywood. Same effect. Snarling in fury at the White Dragon's silent insults, he charged forward. Gathering his feet beneath him, he lept into the air. He had timed it perfectly, and gravity carried him in a perfect arc straight down on top of the White Dragon. His forward claws reached out, grasping at the dragon's back, trying to get a good hold. But of course, him being as big as he was, he'd crush her anyway. Maw snaked down, vicious fangs ripping and tearing at the wings of the White Dragon, trying to rip apart the membrane so it could not fly. Simultaneously, his rear claws and powerful legs began ripping at the White Dragon's face, trying to blind her.

Adeeo had not been prepared for this assault. Much less being put up against a Colossal Red Dragon. She was less than half his size! She stood, dumbfounded as he launched his assault. When she came to her senses, it was too late for her to escape. Her orbs opened wide as he grabbed her back, claws driving straight through her scales like a hot knife through butter. The full extent of his weight bore down on her, shoving her into the hard-packed dirt of the arena, crushing her. She cried out as her wings were shredded to ribbons. Good thing she had shut her eyes, as his rear claws were tearing at her face, pulling away at the scales, leaving her dangerously exposed. There was no escape. She was done for.
